To accomplish our shared vision of a healthy church for everyone. We network together to Cultivate, Collaborate and Curate resources, people, and financial means for shared ministry in the metro. We want to partner together so we can reach as many people as possible with the good news!

The Metro Baptist Network (MBN) strategy has three main ministry objectives:

 Church Health

The Strategy is to plant new churches and help establish re-plant churches in changing neighborhoods where a church needs a fresh vision and new leadership. There are many established churches in the MBN. We want to help strengthen them and provide resources for assessing their health and continually encourage them to be effective in reaching their communities. We will work with church planters, sponsoring churches, Oklahoma Baptists, the North American Mission Board (NAMB), and other Associations to network together to have healthy churches.

Pastor Health

MBN believes that to maintain a healthy church; there must be a healthy pastor. All pastors need relationships, and MBN plans to encourage fellowship among pastors through cohorts and affinity groups. Mentoring and coaching will be a collaborative effort with existing networks. Every pastor needs someone speaking into their life and ministry regularly. Continuing Education will be championed along with leadership, preaching, worship, prayer, ministry library building, training, and informative workshops. We will partner with other entities when it seems best. MBN’s commitment is to provide excellence in helping to equip and nurture our pastors.

Community Impact

MBN will continue to focus on the local church community context. With continued local church resources, Grace Rescue Mission and the Baptist Mission Center will continue to minister to the hungry, hurting, and in some cases, the helpless in the Stockyards and south downtown area of OKC. MBN will continue to maintain and provide two trailers with resources for helping in community outreach events. We will continue to support the local Baptist Collegiate Ministries on the campuses of the colleges and universities within our network area. VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, and Sports Camp training will be scheduled to help equip the local church to reach children and families in their ministry community. Evangelism and discipleship helps will be available upon request.
