The Metro Baptist Network (formerly the Capital Baptist Association) is a growing network of nearly 170 Southern Baptist Churches in greater OKC who are working together to do ministry. The churches of the Metro Baptist Network (MBN) have a long history of ministry in the metro, our network was established in 1890.
Oklahoma City is growing, and the MBN is growing too! OKC is now the 20th largest city in America. Over 100,000 people have moved into the metro area in the last decade alone.
Our churches recently decided to launch a new era of shared ministry with a new name that represents our commitment to the OKC metro, the Metro Baptist Network, OKC. (MBN)
Churches of all sizes, both new and old are part of our network. Our ministry focus area is the greater OKC metro area, including Guthrie to the north and south just inside the border of Moore. Our churches are located in Luther, Harrah, Newalla in the East, Piedmont, Yukon, and Mustang in the West. MBN consists of small, medium, and large churches. Some are legacy churches; others are new church plants, some replant churches, and many ethnic fellowships.
How to Partner with Metro Baptist Network, OKC:
The Metro Baptist Network, OKC (MBN) exists for the churches of the metro area. As Southern Baptists, we believe each church is autonomous, calling its pastors and staff independently of outside controls. Churches that wish to become members of MBN should petition for membership to the MBN, OKC. Affiliated members of the network, agree to the following:
-
Affirm the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message doctrinal statement.
-
Agree to support MBN financially
-
To be actively involved in the MBN
-
Each church must submit an Annual Church Profile report to MBN annually.
Let’s talk about how we can work together!
